تتزايد معاناة الأسرى المرضى بشكل يومي ومستمر نتيجة سياسة الإهمال الطبي المتعمد ونقص الأدوية والعلاج اللازم، وقلة الأطباء المتواجدين في أشباه العيادات والمشافي الخاصة بالأسرى داخل سجون الاحتلال.
وفي الآونة الأخيرة زادت معاناة الأسرى المرضى القابعين في سجون الاحتلال، وتعددت الأمراض الخطيرة التي تنخر أجسادهم الطاهرة، وباتت أحلامهم في الشفاء بصيصاً من أمل ضعيف جداً.
الأسير معتصم طالب رداد (34 عامًا) من قرية صيدا قضاء مدينة طولكرم بالضفة الغربية المحتلة، احدى هذه الحالات المرضية المعقدة, فهو يعاني من التهابات في الأمعاء، علاوةً على سرطان الأمعاء وتلف 80% منها، ويحتاج لإجراء عملية استئصال لأجزاء كبيرة من امعائه، بالإضافة إلى التهابات المفاصل، وعدم انتظام في دقات القلب، والضغط المستمر، والصداع وضعف في النظر، وأزمة صدرية حادة، وهشاشة في العظام.
الأسير المريض رداد اعتقل أول مرة في 15 من فبراير عام 2002 وأفرج عنه بعد قضاء 17 شهراَ في سجون الاحتلال، بالإضافة إلى غرامة مالية مقدارها 3000 شيكل، واعتقل مرة ثانية في 12 من يناير عام 2006 ووضع مرة أخرى في زنازين التحقيق والتعذيب وحكم عليه بالسجن 20 عامًا بتهمة الانتماء لحركة الجهاد الإسلامي.
بدأت علامات المرض تظهر عليه بعد اعتقاله بعامين عندما شعر بآلام شديدة في البطن ليتطور الأمر شيئا فشيئا دون اكتراث من قبل إدارة سجون الاحتلال على الرغم من مطالبته لهم بعرضه على الطبيب المختص إلا انه قوبل بالإهمال الواضح والمتعمد من قبل إدارة السجن.
ونتيجة الإهمال الطبي المتعمد بحق معتصم وغيره المئات من الأسرى استشهد عشرات الأسرى منهم الشهيد جعفر عوض (22 عامًا) من بلدة بيت أمر قضاء الخليل الذي لم يقدر جسده النحيل الضعيف أن يهزم تلك الأمراض التي رافقته طوال سنوات اعتقاله بسبب إهماله طبياً داخل المعتقلات, وبعد حقن مجهولة أعطاها إياه أطباء الإجرام داخل السجن, لتكون سماً بطيئاً يسري في عروقه إلى أن وصلت حالته إلى درجة من المرض وترك الأمراض لتقضي على حياته بعد الافراج عنه بفترة قصيرة.
وخلال مكوثه داخل المعتقلات تدهور وضع جعفر الصحي بشكل مفاجئ, دخل على أثرها في غيبوبة وهو داخل سجون الاحتلال في ديسمبر 2014 , وعلى إثر ذلك نقل إلى العناية المكثفة في مستشفى "أساف هروفيه" والذي أكد الأطباء في حينه بأنه مصاب بالتهاب رئوي حاد، ومكث فترة وجيزة، حتى أعاده الاحتلال إلى ما تعرف "بعيادة سجن الرملة"، رغم وضعه الصحي الصعب.
جعفر عوض قضى في سجون الاحتلال ثلاث سنوات قبل اعتقاله الأخير, أفرج عنه في 21 يناير عام 2015 بعد جهود قانونية وبغرامة مالية باهظة، وبدأ رحلة التنقل من مستشفى لآخر مع عدم وضوح الأسباب التي أدت إلى وصول وضعه الصحي لهذه المرحلة الخطيرة.
استشهد الأسير المحرر جعفر عوض فجر الجمعة العاشر من أبريل 2015 في مستشفى الميزان التخصصي في محافظة الخليل بعد الإفراج عنه بفترة قصيرة عندما علمت إدارة سجون الاحتلال أن وضعه أصبح ميؤوس منه, ليلتحق بكوكبة شهداء الحركة الوطنية الأسيرة، تاركًا خلفه العشرات من الأسرى المرضى يدقون ناقوس الموت المفاجئ.
لم يختلف حال معتصم الأسير وجعفر الشهيد -رحمه الله- عن غيرهما من الأسرى المرضى الذين يتلقون عشرات التجارب العلاجية على أجسادهم التي نخرها المرض، دون أن يطرأ أي تحسن على حالاتهم المرضية رغم سنوات العلاج الطويلة, وما زالوا ينتظرون احدى الحسنيين اما الحرية او الشهادة.
قبل اعتقاله كان يأمل الأسير معتصم رداد أن يُكمل دراسته في تخصص الهندسة فهل سيتبقى له فسحة من أمل ليحقق حلمه, أم أنه سيمكث إلى جوار رفيق درب المرض الشهيد جعفر عوض في ظل وردة.

Due to the deliberate medical neglect, shortage of required medicine and few number of treating doctors who are available in Quasi –hospitals and clinics, the Palestinian prisoners suffering is increasing and continuous day after day.
In recent days, health conditions of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails are deteriorating since they are suffering from serious diseases that the potentiality of recovery is almost little.
Mutasim Taleb Raddad (34 years old) from the town of Saida, Tulkarem city, is one of the Palestinian prisoners whose health condition can be described critical and complicated since he is suffering from inflammation of the intestines, as well as bowel cancer in which about 80% of them are damaged requiring the eradication of large parts of it in addition to arthritis, irregular heartbeats, high blood pressure, headache, heart attacks, and the fragility of the bones.
Raddad was first arrested on February 15, 2002 then he was released after spending 17 months inside the Israeli jails and paying a fine estimated to NIS 3000. On January 12, 2006, he was arrested for the second time accused him of affiliating to Islamic Jihad Movement and sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment after being tortured and interrogated.
Signs of fatigue and illness have started to appear two years after his arrest when he felt severe pain in his belly with a total carelessness and deliberate negligence from Israel Prison Service in spite of asking for visiting personally a specialist
Among hundreds of Palestinian prisoners who are facing death as well as Muatasem due to the deliberate medical neglect. Jaafar Awad, 22, from the town of Beit Ummar, the city of Hebron whose thin body could not fight these diseases, which accompanied him throughout the years of his arrest after unidentified injection those Israeli doctors, gave him inside the prison. This injection killed him slowly and his condition greatly deteriorated. Therefore, Jafar died after a very short period of time from his release.
In December 2014, Jaafar health condition become progressively worse, entered a coma subsequently transferred to the intensive care unit at "Assaf Harofe" hospital where doctors confirmed his diagnosis with severe pneumonia, staying for a short time in ICU then transferred him to "Ramleh prison clinic", despite the fact that he was seriously ill.
It’s worth mentioning that Jaafar Awad spent three years inside Israeli jails before his last arrest where he was released on January 21, 2015 with paying a great amount of fine. As Jaafar health was not good, he was transferred from a hospital to another with no any clear reasons explaining this progressive health condition deterioration.
The ex-prisoner Jaafar Awad died on Friday, April 10, 2015 in Mizan Specialist Hospita,l in the city of Hebron shortly after releasing him when Israel Prison Service was totally assured that his condition became completely hopeless.
Other sick Palestinian prisoners, Jaafar and Mutasim are alike, who can be described as rats for doing tests on their bodies that worn down by disease, without no improvement shown on their health condition, despite the long years of treatment so that the Palestinian prisoners have only two options either to die inside the Israeli jails or be freed.
Before arresting, Mutasim Radad hoped to finish studying engineering. Is hope is possible for him to achieve his dream? Will his end be the same of Jaafar Awad end.
